Activity Monitor Processes Sandbox Yes or No?

(Questioned previously posted in developer forum with no responses.)

Why are so many Active Processes (either All Processes or Active Processes), regardless of the section they fall under (CPU, Memory, Disk, Network for instance), listed as "No" under the sandbox column in Activity Monitor?

After chatting with Apple Support, I was referred to this article and wondered if there might be someone here who had experience with this:

I notice right up front: "A non-sandboxed app has the full rights of the user who is running that app, and can access any resources that the user can access. If that app or any framework it is linked against contain security holes, an attacker can potentially exploit those holes to take control of that app, and in doing so, the attacker gains the ability to do anything that the user can do."

I noticed active processes that are exchanging network data that appear to be macOS based and/or being used by apps downloaded from the Mac App Store that are listed as "No" the entire time. I've been informed by support that the status does change on certain processes but can see it does not for all processes at all times when using the latest version of macOS and apps only downloaded from the Mac App Store.

In the end, maybe it doesn't matter. It was just a curiosity of mine. I would appreciate any help on understanding this if anybody could explain it.
