Should the playlist history under iTunes (when iTunes is minimized and History is selected) list the current songs as they have completed playing, or is there a delay between when they are listened to and when songs show up on the list? Sometimes what I am seeing is not representative of what have just listened to and sometimes is not representative of what I remember listening to at all.

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. I can see that you're wanting to know if there is a delay between when a song is listened to and when it appears in History. Typically a song will appear in History as soon as it is done playing and the next song begins. I just tested it out on my Mac, and that is exactly what happened. If you're still seeing a delay, begin by going to the menu bar > iTunes > Quit iTunes > press Shift on the left side of the keyboard and click on iTunes to launch it again. When iTunes begins to bounce, release the Shift key and let it open. Test it out and see if there is any change. Let us know what happens.
