Can I use the graphic card from a 2008 iMac in a 2011 iMac?

My 2011 iMac graphic card broke down, and I was thinking to replace it with the graphic card from my old 2008 iMac. Is this possible?

The designs are completely different.
iMac Graphic cards are not user replaceable would be the official answer.
Even if they are compatible it would be hard to do if you are not used to repairing logic boards
