Can not delete LaunchDaemon and LaunchAgent Folder

Well I think it might be your day, Those two folders contain over 600 preferences that are needed. If deleted, your system may not work. Even deleting the entire ~/Library/LaunchAgents folder would be overkill.

What popups are you referring to?

First of all those folders are protected from being deleted and are needed. Why do you want to delete them?

As you know there are two Libraries on the Mac.

Unfortunately they are named the same, but contain different files.

One is the User (yours) Library.

The other is the System Library.

Deleting Library Files should be the last resort.

While you can delete almost anything in the user folder you should stop and think before deleting system Files.

Usually Pop-ups and other stuff happens from User library.

At the moment you are looking at the System library containing com.apple....... files. It is almost certain that any file named com.apple. is safe.

If you must delete, use more safe approach..

Copy the original to Desktop, now delete it. Using that method if something goes wrong you can possibly recover.

I have also tried clicking on preferences, then 'apply to enclosed items', and then clicking on + to add my username, then the whole box freezes and I can close it.

I usually just delete the username/library/launchdaemons

Perhaps you should from the beginning and describe what's wrong with Safari.
