How do I recover old emails from 'yahoo' after my outlook account crashed? I searched for a specific email and was told there were 13 of them but I don't know how to get to them!!!

How do I recover old emails from 'yahoo' after my outlook account crashed? I have been told that my entire email history is still in my yahoo account even though my outlook for Mac crashed. Well..I searched for them and can only find a few. Today I was given a message telling me there were 13 messages between me and the party I was searching for but I cannot retrieve them. Anyone out there know how to accomplish this???? Please!!!!!

YahooMail is IMAP - everything ON the server > reflected in your email client = Outlook Mac app or webmail page

Whatever is ON YahooMail web site is what you have

Are you saying that you have been made aware of messages that SHOULD be there and are not found by searching YahooWebMail?

It is POSSIBLE to Move/COPY messages in Outlook FROM a Yahoo Folder TO an Outlook folder - then delete the Yahoo messages from Yahoo. Then, the only remaining originally Yahoo messages are now OUTLOOK messages

Have you tried to add Yahoo into a New Outlook account?

OK

Maybe you're looking at the wrong WebMail page

I GUESSED that you had ADDED the YahooMail account to Outlook when you were merely Forwarding YahooMail TO OutlookMail - these FWDed emails BECOME Outlook messages under this circumstance - these WOULD be present in YahooMail IF they were not deleted from Yahoo (for whatever reason)

The "Mac App - OUTLOOK" crashing is "local" MAC issue... not an Outllook issue

Yes, that is exactly what I am doing. I get a list of emails when I put my email address in the search bar but only a few and none of them are ANY of the 13 that they said they knew of. Also, when I lost my outlook account (which I no longer use) I lost emails going all the way back to 2006 that were in SEVERAL folders. I have had the same email address w/yahoo this entire time. I was told they would all be stored in yahoo.mail.com even though I lost them in outlook but now I am beginning to think I was misinformed.

Yes, I used to have all my yahoo mail forwarded to my outlook account. The outlook crashed but the geek squad rep assured me that emails are NEVER deleted from your yahoo account even though they are delivered to outlook. They are definitely NOT in outlook..every folder containing years of emails just vanished when I downloaded the latest Mojave version 10.14 on my MacBook Pro. So...now I am at a loss as to what to do. An apple rep got on my computer remotely and tried to locate them and then said it was a Microsoft problem. So...I contacted Microsoft and an agent from there did the same thing, no luck with them either. He suggested I take it into a computer repair which I did, Best Buy where the geek squad agent told me I could recover ALL MY EMAIL FROM THE BEGINNING OF MY EMAIL ADDRESS! No luck with that either. There are some older ones but just a few and none of the really important business and personal ones I had in folders that were sorted by name and dates! Whew! That's a lot to take in but I wanted you to know the whole story if there is any chance you can help. And thank you!!!
