Apple Watch - Incoming Calls

Hi,

I had successfully turned off any incoming notifications on my Apple Watch, and just use it for Activity, heart rate etc. It seems recently something has changed, and now my Apple Watch comes up with an incoming call alert, and you can press decline or accept. I've had some many issues where I've been exercising, or in a meeting, and I accidentally press accept, and then you can hear the person talking through it, and I've had to try and quickly turn it off.

I would like it to go back to not coming up on my watch again at all, because it is so frustrating and I don't want to be available like that all the time. I have a GPS only, series 3.

I have tried:

  • Settings>Phone>Custom, Notifications Off & Sound & Haptic Off = this turns off the sounds, but still shows the incoming call with the accept/decline
  • iPhone Settings>Phone>Calls on other devices>Off

Is there any where else I should be looking to turn this off? None of my other notification show up, no imessage etc etc.

Thanks in advance!

Hi! I see your having a problem with phone calls on your Apple Watch. I’ll try to help you out. What you’ve done is just disable the vibration function on your Watch. What you should do is open the Watch app on your iPhone, click Notifications, scroll down to “Phone”, then change the option to Custom. Once there, tap “Notifications Off” and you shouldn’t receive call notifications on your Watch.

Activating Do Not Disturb is not advised since you’d likely miss other important communications from people.

Hope this is helpful to you!
