Satellite Internet

I have satellite internet, with limited data. What are the best settings on the IPhone to limit programs/apps running and refreshing in the background. I have a new phone and all my internet data has been used.

Have you used up all of your cellular data or the data for your satellite internet connection?

If the latter, then don't join it to the WiFi network at your home if you have a decent cellular signal. At the very least, turn off iCloud backups and back up to your computer instead.

Follow KiltedTim's advice. I was confusing satellite and cellular data when I wrote my post.

Go to Settings > Cellular and turn Cellular Data off. If you don't want to do that, wait for your app info to appear below and you can select which apps you want to have access to cellular data. Also, at the very bottom you may want to turn off Wi-Fi Assist and iCloud Drive from using cellular.
