I've always charged my MacBook Pro from the USB C port in the upper left of the machine. It would be a lot easier to charge it from the USB C port on the top right so the cord doesn't have to cross my lap. Can I do this? I've only ever seen photos of the charging cable going to the upper left USB C Port. Thanks!
Yes, you should be able to do that unless the specs indicate only one of your ports is a charging port. Give it a try and see if it works. I'm pretty sure that it should.

The different port sides only really come in to play with high bandwidth peripherals.
