syncing mac with Samsung S8500 Wave

Hello everybody!

I am about to buy the "Samsung S8500 Wave" cell phone. The only issue I cannot find any information on is wether it is possible to sync this cell with a mac (calender, contacts).

Anybody knows something specific?

Have a good one

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

Hello,

I am sorry, I bouth this tool v 1.0.8 and it does not work really fine. It seems it is very buggy, f.e. it does not work fine always (many times no sync was done or it was done incorrectly with missing entries or double entries or with ohter names of fields in my mac contacts... in my opinion this is not a fine working solution, I informed them...).

So my question - is there another application, which works fine with a Samsung Wave 8500? Or is there really no chance to use this wonderful smartphone? I do not like to waste my time to snyc manually...

Thank you
& best regards

Hi Julian,

I am in contact with Novamedia, but I am disappointed of Samsung and Apple. That is not fine at the moment that there is real no other solution... but ok... than I have to spend much time to do all things manually... unbelievable.

Thank you
& best regards

... and I am sure, my next phone will not be a Samsung and it will not be an iphone. 🙂

Why are you disappointed with Apple?

It's nothing to do with Apple that Samsung have chosen not to support Mac users. With iSync Apple have given phone manufacturers the means to provide sync solutions for their phones, but it is up to the phone manufacturers to release suitable iSync Plugins. Nokia & Sony Ericsson do, and Samsung have released iSync Plugins for some of their models a few years ago.

If you need a phone that syncs perfectly with a Mac, the iPhone is the best choice overall.

Off-Topic on:

Why I am disappointend? from Apple? Hmmm, ok - to be honest, Audio bug in my Mac Pro 09 and a lot of trouble to get fixed this, than magic mouse and BT bug (not fixed yet) and many many other things...

And - I do not like the iphone4 . Here in Germany this product is real to expensive and totally overpriced, and I do not want to cast away my money for a smartphone, that is not able to change akku by my own or to upgrade internal memory (with an micro sd card) by my own and I do not want to buy a mobile device, which content is part of the appstore politics, unfortunenatelly Apple designed many of their new mobile devices in this way...

Samsungs mobile device Wave 8500 is a fine device, unfortunatelly it does not work with Mac (like many other hardware products), I send to Samsung Germany a complain via postal letter, I will see how they act than...
