I have a spreadsheet where I retrieve data from two tables into a third table. In that table, I have an IF formula that just asks for a state. The problem is that the spreadsheet does not calculate the cell until I edit the cell and press enter. I have to do that on ALL cells to get the calculations done. Then the spreadsheet works again until I open it next time. Someone that has an idea?
Hi Badunis. This is exactly what happens.
I just find out, if I use the "Table/Transpooner" function and Ctrl-Z for undo, then all cells will work as intended. But it is, of course, just a workaround. I use my spreadsheet on three different MACs. The spreadsheet I located on iCloud.

This may work.
Pick an unused cell in a convenient location on the table. Set that cell's data format to Checkbox.
If you have a second empty cell above it, enter the label "Recalc".
Click the checkbox to trigger a recalculation of the table.

Let me paraphrase and see if I got it right, because I have never seen nor heard of this happening:
You have a spreadsheet that you have created and saved. When you open it, none of the cells with formulas have a result (or the result is incorrect). If you click on one of those cells to "edit" it, then press return (i.e., make no changes to it), the cell starts calculating again and continues to calculate correctly until you close and reopen the document again?
