Can’t pair my Apple Watch with my iphone

Hi I can’t pair my Apple Watch series 2 with my iphone. I’ve tried rebooting both phone and watch and my phone software is up to date.

I know that you said your iPhone has the latest iOS, but what iPhone/iOS are you using?

If you can't set up your Apple Watch or you get an error message

You may also want to try to "Pair Apple Watch Manually."

If you bought it used, it's probably paired to the former owner's iPhone.

Hi Fred II, thanks for your prompt response.

I still can’t pair my Watch- when I scan the animation on the watch it starts pairing, asks which wrist I prefer to have my watch on and after I select, it tries to pair the watch but I soon I get an error message saying unable to pair your watch with iphone. Any ideas why that’s happening?
