Error ms in Windows10 - Corrupt Database in iCloud Drive

Please tell me how to fix this. Can't seem to find a repair anywhere. And i see others with this issue.

i use iCloud Drive to store and synch files between my Windows 10 PC and my ipad and iphone.

It has worked well in the past but i just did an update to the iCloud app on my Windows10 machine and it has stopped synching files to my ios devices. The files still show on the PC, but not on the ipad or iphone.

The error message i get when trying to fix this in the iCloud manager window on the PC is "Corrupt database. Disable and re-enable iCloud Drive". When i uncheck iCloud Drive in the iCloud manager and try to save that setting, I get a message saying that doing this will lose all my iCloud Drive files.

How do i fix this?

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. From your post I can see that you’re having an issue with the iCloud for Windows app since updating. I can understand your concern for the data in your iCloud Drive. Not to worry, I'm happy to help.

Since you're seeing the error with the database since updating, follow the steps are located under the, “Turn off or uninstall iCloud for Windows,” in this article: Set up and use iCloud for Windows. Uninstalling will remove the iCloud Drive from your PC, but the data will still be located on iCloud.com. You can even go to the site on your web browser and view the content. Once uninstalled, restart your PC, then follow the steps in the same article under, "Set up iCloud for Windows."
