Deleting Apps

In Mojave, does dragging an app from Finder to Trash completely delete the app & all associated files with it?

Do I need to unistall any apps to completely remove them from my mac? Will simply dragging them to the trash can remove everything from that app? If I delete an app from my mac by simply moving the app to the trash can, will that effectively remove all files and data from that app including any malware? Or does the app need to be unistalled?

Deleting apps on Mojave desktop Apple states that deleting an application is sufficient to remove it. I wonder if there are fragments leftover that are not deleted by this operation. There are apps that commit to doing this. Are these useless, or is apple not being fully forthcoming?

Deleting An Application Does deleting an application by moving it to Trash delete ALL files on the Mac associated with that application?
