forwarding iMessages

I recently purchased an iPhone XS and have set iMessage to send/receive from all of my Apple devices. It works great on new messages, but I would like to forward some old messages to the other devices. Is there any way to do this?

Would iMessage still work on my Mac or iPad if I switch to a non-iPhone I use iMessage on my Mac and iPad as well as, obviously, my iPhone, but if I were to buy a different phone (Android, Samsung, etc), would the text message forwarding still work (Ignoring the fact that SMS forwarding only works about 10-30% of the time to begin with)? Meaning could I still send messages from my Mac or iPad as I do now? Is it linked to my phone number or the iPhone, I guess is what I'm asking.

Imessage forwarding from one Iphone to another with different Apple ID's and phone numbers How can I get my texts automatically sent to my personal phone from my work phone so I only have to carry one? I don't want to change either phone to use the same apple ID. Both phones I'm using have ios 13.5.1, one is an 8 and the other is a 2020 SE. I want all messages forwarded from the 8 to the SE.
