Until two or three weeks ago, everything was fine, but now my Yamaha RX-A1040 no longer shows as an AirPlay choice from my iMac or my iPad Pro. My appleTV is there, even an old Airport that I only use to send music to the far end of the apartment. It’s running the current firmware (1.98), and I can call up Airplay as the input with the Yamaha remote. But no Apple device sees it. Yes I shut down and restarted everything. Anyone have a guess?

Talk to Yamaha? Perhaps it needs a firmware update for AirPlay 2.

Thank you. Forgot all about AirPlay 2, though I thought it was backwards compatible. Another road to traverse.

After everything else was tried, including resetting every component from the Time Capsule out, it hit me that I hadn’t tried the simplest thing - not just shutting the RX-A1040 down, but unplugging it, and leaving it unplugged for a good 30 seconds.
Fixed.
I had to shut down and then re-link some devices, but so far so good.
Airplay access to RX-A1040 is gone
