Chart with non-consecutive dates

I want to make a graph were I will add numbers corresponding to dates. There will be some days without any number. But I want the graphic to reflect the time reality, I do not want it two jump 2 days if there is not any data. I want it to draw a line between the days were there is data, and not go to zero on the graph since there is no data input for those 2 days.
I hope the explanation of my problem is clear enough...
Any suggestions would be welcome...

Musings on searching the forum

One key step I've used in searches is to ignore the Search Discussions field on this page and go directly to "more options" where the search can be limited to one forum and be set to search back more than the default 90 days.

The people who post here frequently (and who read here regularly) have a couple of advantages over the OP (original poster) when it comes to searching.

The OP comes here, does a search, and is successful or not. If successful, the next step is usually to leave and try out what's been found. If not successful, the persistent OP then writes out the question (and the subject line) in a way that (s)he hopes will be clear to the reader/responder. Having clarified the problem statement, (s)he then posts it.

It's at that point that the responder joins the conversation, and by then there's a good chance that a useful first run search key can be constructed using only the nouns in the subject line connected by the AND operator and limited in scope as described above.

Most responders also have the advantage of regularly reading this forum and therefore knowing what's been discussed recently, what results might be found, and what other search terms might prove useful. (example: 65537 as a search term isn't likely to come to mind out of the blue, but is quite useful in finding posts about a technique for constructing summary tables from lists of data or breakout lists from a combined membership list.)

Regards,
Barry
