Graphics glitch Mojave: horizontal scan lines (new post)

Two weeks ago, on my old 27" iMac (late 2011) I noticed graphical glitches. This came very suddenly, but since I already had planes to replace the Mac because it could no longer run Mojave, I was forced to buy a new Mac on short notice. A few days later I had bought the new 2018 Mac Mini which comes with Mojave preinstalled. Connected to this Mac I have a nice 32" Philips 4k LCD and this setup was working well in the last ten days. Just now, when I woke up the Mac I was confronted with severe graphical glitches again.

Exactly the same type of glitches as on my old iMac. Even while typing this I get glitches. Sometimes not, sometimes there are really bad. Just as sudden they appeared after a number of days. The outside of the Mac mini is not warm at all, and yes I noticed that it can be warm after use.

I'm not sure what to do next. What I am pretty sure of is this:

1) Not related to the internal graphics in the iMac. (I had two older iMac who suffered from the Nvidia BGA problem.

2) Not specifically related to High Sierra or Mojave. Hence both of the systems suffered from this

3) Most probably not related to special software, because 98% of the time I am reading in Safari or watching videos in YouTube.

4) Not related to disk or other internal hardware. The only thing that is moved over is a 500Gb SSD which is now connected to a 10Gb Thunderbolt3 connection, whereas it was on the internal Sata on the old iMac. (just storage of pictures, no OS.

I hope someone will read this and know; a) I am not alone. Or even better; b) I had this issue and I solved it ;-)

Thanks for your time,

Greetings from the Flying Dutchmen in Norway
