My aunt has bought an iphone 7 and has forgotten her apple id and password, how can we turn off activation lock?

I can not turn off activation lock because she can't remember her Apple id or password... help

Tell her to use Apple's iForgot service or contact their Account Security team, or if she's the iPhone’s original owner, supply Apple with its purchase receipt and ask them to remove the lock.

She is looking for the receipt now. She could not wait for me to take her shopping so the saleslady jumped at the chance and sold this phone to an 80 year old who knows little about technology. She can't even remember the Apple id now.... wish me luck. Thank you for your help!
