I know my home WiFi password but my iPhone won’t accept it. I have done a hard shut down and then closed out home WiFi and re joined. Still will not accept

Have you tried forgetting the network and tried again?
If the above fails
Reset your Network Settings. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before.Oct 12, 2018
