My apple watch caused debilitating migraines

I bought apple watch serious 4 a week ago and started experiencing splitting headaches after two or three days of wearing my watch. I didn’t connect my headaches to my new watch first, but now I’m pretty much sure it’s it. My body gets nauseous after even a thought of putting it on again. I read some suggestions about adjusting the light and settings but it did not make it better. I am so frustrated. I really loved the watch. Idk what to do. Did I just waste $100?

The most common side effects of Apple Watch are arm discomfort usually due to either having the band too tight or excessive unfamiliar movement to play with the new toy, and very occasionally a localized skin reaction caused by sensitivity to one of the components (usually nickel). Persistent Migraine type reactions are not even documented as a likely problem, so I suggest you consult your doctor - just in case it is something more serious which you have incorrectly assumed is caused by your watch.

I am seeing my doctor tomorrow, no worries. But you’re wrong about the waves. If you don’t have radiomagmetic sensitivity it does not mean noone has it too.

That's true. However, the science indicates there is no such thing.

look at the results of this study: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5279981/

That was a study of 114 people based on self-reporting through questionnaires. There was no control group and no blinding. It took place over a total of six months. The causative mechanism they proposed was based on an epidemiological study that stated "As a higher risk for car accidents is the only scientifically established adverse consequence of mobile phone use" and from there suggested that the car accidents might be caused by headaches when the far more likely caused was driver inattention. The journal in which it was published, Electron Physician, has an impact score of .85.

Interestingly, they did mention a double-blind, placebo controlled study, a much more rigorous methodology, that indicated certain types of EMF fields decreased migraines.

And, it's always important to keep in mind that correlation does not imply causality.

Seems like my head has an allergic reaction to the radios frequencies of my watch.

Do you also also get headaches from your iPhone? It uses exactly the same frequencies, and it has a higher maximum output than your Apple Watch, and it is typically used much closer to your head when in a call and transmitting more actively. If you are sensitive to RF from cellular devices you would have found out about it long ago before buying a watch. Your watch only uses cellular when it operates in standalone mode, so for the majority of the time it uses lower power Bluetooth over short range to your iPhone, usually around 1/1000 the RF power of your iPhone.
