Battery percentage stuck under time in lock screen

Usually when you charge your phone, the battery percentage takes place of the date on the lock screen. For some reason, on my iPhone 6 the percentage stays under the time, no matter if my phone is charging or not. Any idea on how to fix?

Hi Joshdr92,

Thanks for the post in Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you're seeing the battery percentage on your Lock screen in place of the date even when not charging. Is that right?

To clarify, are you finding that the battery percentage seems to be "stuck" on the Lock screen after you take it off the charger?

Are you using an Apple-certified charger? Does your iPhone otherwise seem to charge as expected? If not, this may help: If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't charge

There are a few other possibilities to look at. Does it make a difference if you Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch?

Also, which iOS version are you running under Settings > General > About? If you're not using iOS 12.1.4, I recommend updating: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch and Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

I hope this helps get you started.

Cheers.
