Thanks for the reply. I deleted the App from one of the Apple TV boxes, to see if it could be reloaded and cancel the error, but it appears that there is no App available via the Apple TV App store.
On my other Apple TV, that has the App installed, the stories update on screen, but when clicked to play, there is no sound and some sort of default screen resembling an empty news studio.
My original question related to something you alluded to. Is the App the issue, or is it an Apple TV issue. I am in the UK and was also wondering whether this was related to geography/blackout limitations etc. which do not appear to have been an issue previously.
