Touch Bar partially blacked out

Hi, I have a fairly new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar (purchased August 2018). I'm wondering if anyone has successfully resolved an issue with their Touch Bar going partially black. It still functions as intended if I touch the correct area, but as this is a fairly new device, I don't always remember the exact place to touch; this is particularly irritating as it is manifesting on the right-hand side of the bar, where the audio controls are. It started as just a small section, but appears to have taken over more of the bar in the last 24 hours.

If anyone has solutions, please advise!!

Thanks.

Good morning kt.herr,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand you are having an issue with the Touch Bar on your MacBook Pro where it partially turns black. You may need to have an Apple Genius or an Apple Authorized Service Provider take a look at your computer. Click on the "Service and Support" section of the resource below to find one near you.
