I’m trying to figure out how to hear my music without the earphones but not even sure that’s possible?
I have an old iPod Model MC692LL serial c7*****DW2 Version 1.2PC Capacity 7.3GB

You need to use earphones or connect to a speaker dock. There is no internal speaker.
You should not post your serial number online.
