ITUNES FREEZES WHEN IPOD, IPAD CONNECTED FIX

All of a sudden after I updated my apps on Ipad, Itunes froze upon connecting any devices. After spending hours and hours of unistalling / reinstalling, cleaning puter etc. No matter what FREEZE when connecting, also not recognizing the ipad/ipod. The answer is: APPLE MOBILE DEVICE USB DRIVER.......You have to go to: devmgmt.msc under portable devices update etc.......... I called APPLE SUPPORT after 10 minuetes I was up and running again, so it is in the drivers,

I was happy for about 30 minuetes, when it started all over, Itunes freezes, does not recognize IPAD / IPOD, Back to square one, who has time for this *****. I am calling again to APPLE SUPPORT, as i have the 90 day free support. grrrrrrrrrrr

Have escalated to APPLE, they are sending problem to there techie's, when I hear back I will post hopefully a remedy. As this may be becoming an issue.

Same problem for my brandnew IPAD in combination with windows vista. Using newest version of iTunes, the synchronisation process hangs every time and even whole PC hangs. Even shutdown option of windows vista does not work. I tried all the apple support steps (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3219) but without a result.

well fixed mine again, on my own, should work for all ipod/ipad
1. plug in IPAD
2. start
3. search bar: devmgmt.msc
4. open: portable devices
5. right click: apple Ipad hit unistall
6. hit: reinstall
you should see in bottom tool bar your device being reinstalled.
open itunes. should work....but honestly don t know for how long. I have had to do it twice now. hooooohum

1. plug in IPAD

6. hit: reinstall
you should see in bottom tool bar your device being reinstalled.
am up and running, after spending approx 12 hours trying to fix, corrupt driver, have reinstalled driver, all is good. on day 2 of everything working.

thanks for helping, this does not solve my situation
After connecting the IPAD the device appears in device manager (under portable devices and also under USB connections). A few seconds after the IPAD is accessed within iTunes (for sync., backup or even for a diagnostic test) the PC freezes.
