First, quit the app. If necessary, force it to quit: How to force an app to quit on your Mac - Apple Support

Then, drag its app icon from your Mac's Applications folder to the Trash. When you drag it to the Trash a web page will open, pleading for you to reconsider. Just close that page.

Then, proceed as follows:

Using the Finder's Go menu > Go To Folder... selection, Copy the following and Paste it in that field:

~/Library/Application Support/

Click Go. A Finder window will open. Locate the folder named spc and drag it to the Trash.

Repeating that exercise, Copy and Paste the next line in the Finder's Go menu > Go To Folder... field:

~/Library/LaunchAgents/

and locate the file named

com.techyutils.spchlpr.plist

... and drag it to the Trash.

Next, open your Mac's System Preferences > Users & Groups, and remove the offending program from Login Items.

Excerpted from Effective defenses against malware and other threats:

  • Never install something without first knowing what it is, what it does, how it works, and how to get rid of it when you don't want it any more.
