Network - How to create a simple Home Network for external HDs

I have 5 external HD of various brands - Seagate; WD and Toshiba all connected via USB to my iMac.

I want to create a network whereby all these hard drives are connected to a wireless internet router so I can free up some of my USB ports on the iMac.

Unfortunately none of the HD have Lightening connections.

As I'm a bit of a novice, can someone suggest what I need to do? Living in remote Australia I'm a bit limited to where I can get extra resources from.

All help appreciated.

They all have to be directly connected to the router that is the only way they might work.

however what I would do is use a powered USB hub...in fact that’s exactly what I do.
