No emergency alerts

having iphoneXs , not getting emergency alerts in canada. Not even having option in notifications as govenment alerts to toggle on. Why?

I cheked my carryers website and there is nothing about emergency alerts. also I had iphone 5 earlyer and it also was not receiving anything and also on there there was no option to turn them on. please help if you can IOS version.7.1.2 thank you

Not Getting Governmmet Alerts on my iPhone 12, Version 16.5.1 I recently did not get any alert on my phone about an approaching tornado but my wife did. We have the identical iPhone 12 with version 16.5.1. The setting under the Government Alerts section under Notifications is identical to one another. Any suggestion for why I'm not getting the alert? Thank you.

As stated here:

"Government alerts are supported when using a SIM card from a supported carrier."
