What does 'mdwrite wants to use the "metadata" keychain' mean?

Can anyone help? What does it mean? I type in my keychain password but it is not accepted and I can't get rid of this message box. I can use the same password to open my keychain without a problem. I only have the one keychain password. I use Mojave, 10.14.3.

I may have answered by own post by finding the following on 'StackExchange' website. I have only just done it so will watch this space.

"I opened my login keychain and searched for MetadataKeychain. I clicked show password and copied and pasted it into the dialog asking for the password.

It worked!"

Ps, it was not as easy as described to copy and paste the password shown but I managed it and I'm no mac expert.
