Pages not working on NEW iPad Pro

I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice, I have changed the saved settings from cloud to iPad and cannot get Pages to work on my brand new iPad Pro.

Use of pages on my ipad For years I have used "pages" to store my info and recipes. Lately when I go to a blank page and begin typing or try to paste something it jumps off the page and goes to the original "pages" with all the previous things listed. Also when I begin to type I get a blue outlined rectangle at the top enclosing the title. What am I doing wrong? Is there a setting that was changed? Thanks to anyone who can answer this. As of today I am unable to type a page without it jumping off and going back to the original. This keeps giving me the option of pages for a mac. I am not using a mac but an ipad.

Whenever i try to open certain pages file on my iphone, pages app immediately shut down i can open and edit it on my ipad Pages but certainly i can’t open it on my iphone Pages.. i restarted the Pages app, iphone, and re-installed the Pages app as well, but the problem wasn’t solved. other pages files are opened well both on iphone and ipad, but certain pages file is opened on only my ipad, not Iphone....

Aha. This is tricky. Try updating it, or reinstall it. If the problem persists, Contact Apple Support.

I have uninstalled it twice and it still won’t work. Numbers and Keynote work just fine, but I hit that wall every time with Pages.
