iPhone X dropping FaceTime calls after 10 seconds

Go to apple.com and make an appointment at an Apple Store by selecting the support tab in the top right. Apple stores do accommodate walkins but usually is longer than if you make an appointment. The appointment is free and they will replace your phone or repair it usually same day.

This has also recently started happening only on my iPhone X, and only in the last month. FaceTime calls fail after 10 seconds no matter who I call. When I use FaceTime from my MacBook with the same Apple ID, on the same wifi, I have no problem. My old iPhone 7 had no problem.

My wifi is the best available, and even when I switch to cellular data with full reception, FaceTime fails.

I’ve restarted my phone, it’s running iOS 12.1.4 (latest), signed in and out of iCloud, and nothing works. Incredibly frustrating as this seems to be an iOS or hardware issue specifically with iPhone X, not a network issue.

My iphoneX drops calls, FaceTime, I am told it just rings but I hear nothing, my voice is muffled on phone. Apple could not help because the call instantly dropped. Sprint sent me to 3 different parties for help , I finally, had to leave for work. I am extremely frustrated with the phone and service. I can have my board meeting which are via phone!!!

You probably needs to do more testing and give us more info.

Is this happening with video calls or voice calls, or both?

Is this happening with all contacts or some only?

If issue is with video calls only, is it happening also when you switch to rear camera?

Can you use front facing camera in Camera app to record video longer than 10 seconds?

Have you tried to restart your iPhone?

Are other VoIP apps affected too (Skype, Whatsapp, FB Messenger)?
