Accidental Spill on Apple Watch

Anyone ever accidentally spill soda, beer, or anything sticky-ish that completely submerged their Apple Watch? How would you clean it? Hoping to have no problems down the road, since my watch is less than 1 month old.

If your watch is only a month old it is almost certainly Series 3 or Series 4, which means it is water resistant, or if you want to put it another way, you can rinse it clean. See How to clean your Apple Watch - Apple Support for the official cleaning methods, and remember to remove the band so you can clean it separately and be sure there is no residue in the attachment grooves or the band locking tabs.
