Phone is locked after 12.1.4 update

I had this same issue while connected to iTunes on my computer. the only fix I found was to restore it back to 12.1.3 Now I am afraid to update. Also, I have noticed my battery now drains super quick. Reminds me of the old problem with battery draining after update... I have an iPhone7 256

I had to go to a computer repair store and they downloaded iTunes for me on one of their computers. We tried to recovery but it would not work so we had to wipe the phone and do a restore. Took forever and then I had to download all my personal info from my Apple ID and password. Definitely something Apple should find a better fix for. Hopefully the next upgrade won’t cause this problem again. Best of luck to anyone who gets this message on their phone...

It will not go to any screen to enter passcode

I don’t have a computer

You need a computer to resolve this issue.

I also tried the things that was suggested by serge kills. Still had to wipe phone and restore from backup.
