No proof of purchase showing in history but purchase cost was deducted balance from Apple ID credit balance.

My son purchased "coins" through an in-app game (Madden Ovverdrive), and the brand new $25.00 credit balance we had was deducted by the $9.99 cost of the coins. However, the coins never showed up in the in app game. All of the troubleshooting threads say to show proof of purchase, but oddly there is no proof of purchase in Purchase History. The only proof I have is the fund depletion of 9.99 from my Apple ID balance. The balance before purchase was $25, and now it shows $15.01.
