I'm moving my spreadsheet from Excel to Numbers. I want to import data from a website into my spreadsheet.
Google suggests this is not possible unless I use Apple Script.
Can someone help me write the script to import this HTML table into my existing spreadsheet?

You're lucky on that particular table. You don't need a script. Just select the cells starting with Symbol, like this:
With the cells in the table selected, type command-c to copy to the system clipboard.
Then click in a cell of the table in Numbers where you want the data to go, and command-v to paste (or for better formatting in the menu choose Edit > Paste and Match Style).

Copy-paste is one of the most basic operations on a computer. In this particular case the operation is particularly straightforward.
Do you really think a simple copy-paste would be harder than having the user install and run a script?!
Have you actually tried the copy-paste approach with that table?

So spending about 15 seconds a day to do a simple copy-paste doesn't fit your workflow?!
For that particular table scripts can accomplish the same thing, but are unlikely to save much time.
Sometimes a "low-tech" approach is simplest and most reliable. I think this is one of those situations.

I'm building this spreadsheet for someone else and they are elderly. Telling them to copy+paste this table from this website is not an option.
I'm under the impression that this is not that difficult to automate. I did this already in Excel and it was a thing of beauty (1-click to refresh) only to be told they don't want to use Excel.

Yes, man. Thank you for the copy+paste suggestion. I am looking for easier ways to do this including the mythical HYPERLINK() function but so far no luck.
