Safari is not open anymore.

The application Safari is not open anymore? This happens quite often and the only way I can get Safari to open is to turn the Macbook off via the power button. How do I fix this problem? OS High Sierra VS 10.13.6

1. Click  in the menu bar and choose “Force Quit”

or press command +option + esc keys on the keyboard together.

In the window that opens up, select “Safari”  and click “Force Quit.

2. Relaunch Safari holding the shift key down.

3. If this doesn’t help, use  Malwarebytes for Mac to remove malware.

That is a problem.

Can you try Safe Mode?

If third party application is blocking Safari from launching, a user can download it in Safe Mode.

Startup in Safe Mode and try launching Safari.

Enter this address manually if you have to.

Do you have another Administrative account setup?

Start up in Safe Mode. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262
