See this Help page: Organize photos in albums on iPhone - Apple Support

    • Remove a photo or video: In an album, tap a photo or video to view it in full screen. Tap the Trash Can button, then choose to remove the item from just the album or delete it from iCloud Photos on all your devices.

Be careful to elect "Remove from album" and not the "delete" option after ctapping the trash icon.

Thank you for the quick answer, but I need to keep the photo in All Photos.

I apologize for the conflicting requirements, but I am unfamiliar with the Album paradigm.

If an Album were like a file folder or a like a label attached to an image file, then there may be a way to move the file out of an Album and back in to All Photos, so it woukd still be available in the iPhone memory and in the the iCloud.
