How can I get National Geographic's default screensaver back?

I just downloaded Mojave. I only did it because it kept popping up as an upgrade so I thought I should. I didn't know that I would lose the National Geographic screen saver that I loved. Is there anyway to get it back? I saw someone had asked this same question end of last year. The reply mentioned Time Machine and my "back-up" but I really need a step by step as to how to find it and get it back if possible. I miss my animals! Thanks!

So yes Apple removed the old default screensavers with a new set, but you should be able to get the older ones back.

If you have backups of your older OS then use Time Machine and search for the older default screensavers in the path

/Library/ScreenSavers/DefaultCollections, in there you should find the folders for the old screensavers. highlight the National Geographic folder, and press Restore. If you are able to do this, then log out or restart your Mac and then open System Preferences> Desktop & Screensaver> Screensaver and see if you can select it from Source.

On High Sierra or older, click on the Desktop to get the Finder's attention, and then press shift+command+G to open a Go To Folder panel. Enter the following path into the dialog:

/Library/Screen Savers/Default Collections

Press GO.

You can even use the above in the Time Machine Restore window to get at otherwise difficult filesystem locations.

When you land in the above folder, there will be a 1-National Geographic folder containing 17 images. Restore that folder.
