If my airpods pair with another device will i be notified?

suggestion- just like any other device with apple before you allow it to pair with another device it should ask for the apple ID... just my two cents from someone whos airpods were JUST stolen. :(

thanks i'll give them my feedback on the page you provided...
i just think when pairing there should be some type of check back with the original device its paired to.. but noted will provide my feedback elsewhere.

This is a user-to-user technical support forum. You're not addressing Apple here. You can let them know your thoughts on the feedback page:
You're notified if a device tries to log into your Apple ID. It has nothing to do with pairing. As it's obviously not possible to log into your Apple ID from your AirPods, I'm not sure that what you're suggesting is even possible.
If they connect the AirPods via Bluetooth that is not reported anywhere. They MIGHT be able to do that if they person who ends up with them has an iDevice and connects via the W1 chipset but it would be a bit unwieldy and would require additional firmware in the AirPods plus using your Apple ID every time you connect them.
