Have FB Messenger Override DND

How am I able to get FaceBook Messenger to override DND?

I see responses on how to stop notifications from not waking you up but in this case for overseas contacts that aren’t using Apple and calls are too expensive I’d like. Messenger to alert me when in DND mode.

Has anyone come across a solution to this.
