Health app data displaying incorrect data

Yesterday morning I walked just over 3 miles. This morning when I checked the Health App to see how many total miles I walked yesterday (expecting 4 to 5 miles), it displayed 2.7. I went into the data and added the data for just my morning walk and it came to 3.26 miles. The data is all there. Why is this not displaying the total data from the data file??

Hi Sally745,

Thanks for bringing this issue to Apple Support Communities today. It sounds like your Health App isn't showing the correct number of miles you walked.

A great series of steps to tackle this issue can be found here: Calibrating your Apple Watch for improved Workout and Activity accuracy.

If the issue continues, try unpairing the Watch and iPhone and then setting them up again. Check out: Unpair and erase your Apple Watch.

Have a great weekend!

Sally745,

Our apologies for the misunderstanding. There are a few things we can try.

You can make sure all your personal data is entered correctly: Use the Health app on your iPhone or iPod touch.

You can try force closing the Health app: How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Have you restarted since you noticed the issue? Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Let me know how it goes.

Kind regards.

Just manually added the mileage data from Wednesday and Thursday.

Wed

4.6 miles (manual add)

2.7 miles (displayed on my phone)

Thur

6..0 miles (manual add)

3.5 miles (displayed on my phone)

Last night, Thursday’s mileage appeared as about 5.7 and I thought it might be inflated. This morning it appears as 3.5.

I did complete the suggestions you mentioned above.

I don’t back up to the Cloud, occasionally back up on my computer. My phone is 64 GB with about 8.5 GB available.

Any other thoughts?
