My classic iPod died last week after 11 years, I'm trying to copy my music library from my external hard drive where it is stored, however some albums are authorised to an obsolete email address that I no longer have access to as the provider no longer exists. I cannot play the music as it's not authorised to play without my resetting the email which is no longer available, how do I transfer my library to my current email address?
Go to https://iforgot.apple.com. The old username and password combination should usually remain valid, even if you no longer have access to the email address which you would normally use for any password reset operation. Apple may be able to help you regain control of the account using other methods to confirm your identity. You cannot transfer content from one Apple ID to another.
