Time Machine Back-up

Hey!

I was wondering will time machine automatically delete files on my external device if I have deleted them on my laptop?

Thank you very much in advance

From the Preference panel—

Time Machine is a backup app. Makes no sense if you delete it on your mac, that it would follow suit on the TM disk.

That would not be much of a backup.

The next backup the deleted file will not be on the new backup for that day.

I will say TM is great when it works—

You should have more than one complete backup on more than one device, for a robust plan.
