Problem with my front camera

Front camera won’t work, only shows a black screen when I try to take selfies or use apps that require the front camera. Any idea how to fix it? Thanks.

You may need to take it to an Apple store or repairer.

You will have to back it up if it goes into Apple repair shop so why not try a back up and restore in iTunes and see if it fixes it.
