Not having any luck here, and the instructions I am finding on the web are useless. I just want to have my Mac as well as my iPhone sync calendars. Any ideas? Thanks.

Right, you just have to make the changes, then close the window. The changes you made should remain in place.
My calendars sync with no issues, but it is important that you make sure that you are putting your appointments on a calendar that is shared by all of the devices, and that the Calendar you are sharing is showing under the iCloud header in the Calendar app.
What iOS are you running on your devices?

I think I stumbled upon the solution, sort of. I can enter calendar details on my iPhone and they show up on the computer. I wanted to be a two-way street, but I'll take what I can get. Thank you for responding.
This was the last site I checked out before writing my post. I will try it yet again to see if I missed something.

When I click on ‘General’ there is no ‘Save’ to click. Close the window is my option.
I am using 10.14.3 MacOS Mojave.
