Reporting burnt iPhone charging block

Good Afternoon,

I am just not getting around to submitting this, but on December 22nd the iPhone charger plugged into my son's iPhone 6 shorted out and nearly caught fire (see photo). It was plugged into a brand new surge suppressor with no other items plugged in at the time. My son also was using the Apple issued charging cable at the time. The iPhone had been plugged in overnight and was sitting on his night table. This plug was under his bed and had more than 8" air clearance. He woke both my wife and I up around 7am saying that he heard popping and there was a strong smell of something burning in his bedroom. Sure enough, this was the culprit. I wanted to report this to Apple so that you were aware of the issue.
