I had the same issue today, and I called Apple.
It was a simple fix.

Press the MENU and the CENTER button at the same time, until the Apple logo appears. This is resetting the iPod.
The logo will disappear after about a minute or so, and the main menu reappears.

Presso! Isssue fixed, I have enjoyed continuous tunes, with no stopping!

Talked to tech support and it was suggested that I make sure I fully charge the iPod for a least 3 hours.. don't know if that is every day or just every couple of days..cause the call got dropped. I do use the iPod every day for hours listening to podcasts and music cause I don't watch TV... So I will charge it up. Luckily I have a shuffle so I can just swap em out....

Consider purchasing an iPod Nano wall charger & plug in your iPod prior to retiring for the evening. This way your iPod will be *fully charged* each day.
It is what I do instead of charging through the computer.

Hello all... i was having a horrible issue with my iPhone seemingly shuffling at random. So frustrating until I turned off the "shake to shuffle" option... I think most new iPods and iPhones have this feature in settings... good luck.

The same thing happens to me except I have to hit play again. I have reset and restored the thing a number of times... what do I do next?
