iPhone Front and Back Camera Rapid Focus Issue

I have an iPhone 6s under warranty. Intermittently, the camera cannot focus. It will sit a rapidly try to focus once a second. It will do this on both front and back cameras. The only way to resolve it reboot the phone.

I can't replicate it for Apple as it happens intermittently.

What should I do..

Hello garywi,

Thanks for the post in Apple Support Communities. I understand you've been running into some issues using both cameras on your iOS device.

I have a link with some great steps that will help to troubleshoot this: If the camera on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch isn't working. In particular, I wanted to call attention to this section, since it sounds like it may be relevant to your issue:

"Remove any case, film, or attachment

A case or film might block the camera or flash and affect performance. A metallic or magnetic case or camera attachment might interfere with optical stabilization. Test the camera without any of these to find out if they're causing the issue."

If you find that, and the additional steps in the resource above, don't clear things, it will be best to get in touch with Apple directly: Contact Apple Support

Cheers.
