How to eliminate the ghost after updating to Mojave
I updated my iMac 2012 to Mojave and start to making some ghosts shapes on the screen. I already tried to use the screen saver but it doesn't work.

Could you elaborate on the "doesn't work" comment and the screen saver?
What happens, or doesn't happen, with the screen saver?
Similar display artifacts; the text-like patterns in the left of both photos?
Always in roughly the same place?
Try booting into Safe Mode, and try an NVRAM and SMC reset, but this is looking like it might be a hardware problem and a call to Apple Support or your local preferred service provider.
I'd suspect that whatever previously happened with the display is back again.
Or whatever has happened here has become more pronounced, or has burned in.
Or install an earlier release on and booted from an external storage device, and see if that also shows the artifact.
Given the age of the system, this Mac is probably headed for replacement.
Check with Apple Support or with your preferred service provider.
Sure, Mr. Hoffman. After I update my iMac into Mojave system the screen start to leave "persistent" images of the windows that were positioned on that spot. This "ghost" image can be seen "above" other windows, screensavers, etc. that crosses that spot on the screen.
The text that you can se is a part o a youtube window. The blue one in the desktop+safari window and the japanese temple photo is the active screen saver.
By my work routine I always left the video windows on the left and work on the right so every time the "ghost" appears on the left but i'll try today to do it on the right.
On 2012 the iMac was part of that batch that have problems with the screen but it was changed by warranty and it work for years until I update to Mojave.
Hi , I already tried and it happens on the right side of the screen also.
You mean change the screen?
I have an macbook 12 2016, and after I updated, it started to ghost the image too.
I already did everything, so I contact with the local support and they say that the iMac is already a "vintage" computer so they don't have any parts for this computer.
Right now I'm testing the computer with the original Mountain Lion system. If the ghosting persist then we have a case of forced obsolecency by software, if not then i'll need an external provider.
