HELP!! December 31, 1969 4:00pm!? Modified date??

Can someone please help me fix this....

When importing files from my GoPro to my 2016 MacBook Pro. They are all imported with the same date: December 31, 1969 4:00pm. This makes it really hard to organize all the files as the date is the name of the file.

Ive made sure the GoPro is synced with the computer and has the correct date and time.

It says it was created and modified on that bizarre date...

ive tried reformatting my SD card and resetting my GoPro. No other type of file has even had this problem on my computer.
